| Kumasi Clubs Oware Championship | | Asawasi (Ghana Legion), 16th December 2017 | | | | The first Kumasi Oware Clubs Championship to be held to determine the strongest Oware playing Clubs and players in Kumasi, Ghana. Organised by The Oware Society of Ghana (OSG) in conjunction with The Oware Society (OWS ) based in the UK, under the aegis of the World Oware Federation (WOF).
Ten clubs from the Kumasi Metropolitan area will be represented. The competition will be a round robin championship. Matches will be decided on a best of five basis. The rules used for this competition will be the OWS International Rules - Abapa Rules.
This is planned to be an annual event, sparking of the organisation of Oware in Kumasi and Ghana. All are welcome to witness this inaugural Clubs Championship.
The winning player from this championship, will be first choice to being selected to participate in the International Awale Tournament 2018, which will take place at the International Festival des Juex in Cannes, France, from 23rd -25th of February 2018 | | |    | | |
